Pressure Cooker Workshop

Great response at the founding week Germany

From 12 to 16 November 2018, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences took part in the nation’s largest campaign to strengthen entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit – the founding week of Germany – with a total of twelve events. More than 300 participants prove that a great response was received.

The participation was prepared by the Center for Research, Innovation and Transfer (ZFIT) of the University of Applied Sciences as part of the project Innovation and Start-Up Offensive Niederrhein (IGNI) and in collaboration with academic staff and professors. A comprehensive program of events on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity was offered. The interactive workshops covered a wide range of topics. A highlight was the “Pressure Cooker Day” – an interactive workshop in the Technology Center Kleve. Three student teams, supported by academic staff from the university and a creativity coach, spent a day working on the real problems and challenges of three regional companies. In the end, they found interesting solutions for the Grantconsult GmbH, QuantoLux GmbH and Cumulus GmbH, which were presented in a pitch. In addition, there were also events on the topics of business etiquette, self-marketing and successful ideas pitches. Both the University of Applied Sciences Rhein-Waal – supported by the IGNI project – as well as their cooperation partners draw a positive balance after the joint action week. The existing cooperations should be further supported and expanded in the future.
