Frequently Asked Questions
What is Laser-OES?
Laser-OES (Laser Optical Emission Spectrometry) is an optical emission technique that uses a focused laser pulse to create a micro-plasma on the material surface. The emitted light is analyzed to determine the exact chemical composition in seconds. It is fast, robust, and suitable for metals, slag, and other industrial materials. Also, it has no restrictions to "light elements" and, with the right setup, can analyze almost all elements in periodic table.
Do I need special training to operate your instruments?
Basic training is recommended, but no specialized laboratory background is required. Our instruments are designed for production environments and come with intuitive software. We can provide short onboarding sessions for new operators.
How often do the instruments require maintenance?
Laser-OES systems require minimal maintenance. Routine cleaning of the measurement window and periodic calibration checks are usually sufficient. Most users schedule a preventive service once per year, supported by our certified local distributors.
