Our Team Lunch – A Taste of the World
At QuantoLux, internationality is not just a word we use — it is something we live every day. Recently, we had a special team lunch where everyone brought a dish from their home / their home country. It was more than just eating food together. It was a chance to celebrate the many different cultures that make up our team.
Sometimes, when we are busy with work, we forget how many different backgrounds and stories are part of our team. This lunch helped us remember and appreciate that.
Here is what we enjoyed at our lunch:
🇺🇸 Cinnamon Rolls – USA
Cinnamon rolls are sweet pastries from the United States. They are soft bread rolls rolled with cinnamon and sugar inside. After baking, they are often covered with a sweet icing made of sugar and cream cheese. People usually eat cinnamon rolls for breakfast or as a dessert. They are warm, soft, and very tasty.
🇮🇳 Chicken Biryani – India
Chicken Biryani is a famous Indian dish made of rice, chicken, and many spices. The chicken is cooked with yogurt and spices like turmeric, cumin, and cardamom. Then it is layered with cooked rice and slow-cooked to mix all the flavors. It is a very popular dish in India and is often served at celebrations.
🇩🇪 Potato Salad – Germany
German potato salad is different from the creamy salads some people know. It uses cooked potatoes mixed with onions, vinegar, oil, and fresh herbs like parsley. Sometimes it is served warm, sometimes cold. It has a sour and fresh taste. It is a common side dish in Germany and often eaten with sausages or meat.
🌿 Dolma (Stuffed Vine Leaves) – Middle East
